Last weekend my gorgeous daughter and I decided to have a girly day out, we’ve both been looking forward to seeing Wes Andersons new film Moonrise Kingdom. We thought we’d make it extra special and make a copy of Suzie’s dress for our girly date. The dress and the movie were both a hit.
We purchased these chocolates to nibble on for the movie, look at that packaging, and the contents lived up to the great design-Y to the YUM!
Is it strange to poke your head into a shop just to smell the freshly ground coffee?
My little family, I love this photo!
I love learning new stuff, this book- Blogging For Creatives has some really ace tips, have you read it?

Not too long ago I decided it was time to invest a little into the thing I love to do most, sewing. I splurged big time on these little babies, German made Robuso dressmaking scissors.
They’re the bees knees, these babies will be with me forever so I had them engraved with my favourite motto. I love them and if I EVER see a member of my family cutting anything other than fabric with them. Off with their heads.
The English Beat came to town so naturally I had to go, what a night! Rankin Full Stop. The Selecter in November, can’t wait.
We have a plaid/tartan challenge coming up, this Burda pattern has twenty pattern pieces the instructions were thrown out the window in true Burda style fashion.
You should totally drop by tomorrow I’ve made a fab dress based on the teen cult book character Weetzie Bat.

I am envious The Beat were one of my favorite bands and I wish they were coming to our city. What gorgeous girls you have too.
I can’t wait to see moonrise kingdom, and what a brilliant dress. Jealous!
Oh Hayley you will love it! and thank you for the lovely comment.
The Beat were fantastic Dave Wakeling still has a golden set of pipes, they ended with Mirror in the Bathroom.
I have a boy and a girl, that’s my son on the left, he likes his rock star hair
Thanks for popping in Jo
