Last weekend Hubby and I headed out to the gorgeous Vali Myers Book launch hosted by the fab peeps from Outré Gallery. We were hoping we had arrived early enough to grab a copy of her book but missed out due to a small run of books available on the night, bummer! I’m looking forward to devouring this little book, I find Vali’s life mesmerising and want to be swept away into her world for the moment. Hubby and I poked around the crowded art gallery for a bit, took some snaps of what we could and left for some dinner.

I think that lovely Angelique Houtkamp framed print of Vali over there on the far right would tie in well with my little gallery at home.
Hubby and I headed over to The Block and found a table for two in the laneway. I love this place it really feels like you’re in another country, very European—so I’ve been told.
My very dapper hubby. You couldn’t guess what we talked about! The kiddies of course.
These guys were so much fun they churned out contemporary tunes flamenco style. The best soundtrack to accompany the red wine and pasta dish I inhaled.
This brilliant controversial piece was found sprawled across a wall in Clayton; I wish I could credit the artist. Magic.
This weeks Sew Weekly challenge is Blue, we headed up to The William Ricketts Sanctuary to get some photos taken for my up and coming blog post.
This place is truly magical. More on the blog tomorrow.
Next week we are challenged to make something for under $10. I have this awesome piece of thrifted leather —$2.99 CRAZY SHIZZ!!! that I’ve cut into and am really pleased with the outcome. Hopefully it photographs well.
What are you working on? do you have anything planned for the weekend?
Happy Days.
