Last Sunday we made our way to the snow- Lake Mountain. This was a thrilling first for my daughter, son and I. Hubby— being an Englishman and all has already had the pleasure ( I know some of you will laugh at the term -pleasure) of throwing snowballs, building snowmen and shovelling the stuff just to get to the front door when he was a wee lad so visiting the snow after so long quickly turned into a lesson in nostalgia.
Snowball fights were a given, most of the balls that were thrown at me were aimed at my head so flakes of snow melted down my top. The weather was absolutely gorgeous, no wind or blizzard, it got kinda hot in the end. I guess we were blessed with a good day in the end.
I snapped this photo of my handsome little man on my iphone. I just love this photo. In a frame he goes.
Monday in Melbourne was spectacular too, the weather again was brilliant, Flinders St Station bathing in the sun. She’s so photogenic, I must have a million photos of her with all different backdrops. Just look at that sky not a cloud in sight.
There is always a new discovery to snap in Hosier Lane, I really admire the talent that comes from these people, the tagging however really shits me.
A quick visit down Degraves St to visit Little Cupcakes for a coffee and a flourless mudcake-YUM! then off to City Square to watch the free Runway shows Melbourne Spring Fashion Week had on offer.
A large tent was set up in City Square to accommodate the daily free runway shows. This paparazzi stand situated at the end of the runway quickly filled up with even more photographers snapping away fighting for the best position possible. It was fun to watch the process unfold before the models hit the runway and all the important fashion peeps fill the front row with their notepads and iphones. Tonight I’m off to see the final Designer Series Runway Show featuring :Alice McCall, Alpha60, bul, Dress Up, Gorman, Kuwaii, Megan Park, Obus and We Are Handsome I snapped up a ticket at the last minute so that should be fun.
I wish I could remember who designed the all-over printed suit, I’d only be guessing that it’s Josh Goot. I do remember the black jumpsuit with the delicate lace inserts was by Lover, my favourite piece.

Sew Weekly puts on a yearly Great Gatsby challenge, I’m so far removed from this style of dress it’s not funny, but given that I haven’t missed a challenge yet I’ve managed to whip something simple up, I’ve just got some buttons to sew on then she’s good to go. We are hoping tomorrows weather will be lovely so we can go on an adventure and snap some piccy’s along the way Gatsby style.
What are your plans for the weekend?

Looks like a fun time was had by all… And frame worthy J pic is
